Carlos Santana has long been one of my very favorite instrumental guitarists. He speaks through the guitar; allows us a view into his spirit and soul. Imagine my amazement to find that Santana has done a really beautiful instrumental on Wind.

“Song of the Wind” is a classic Santana instrumental found on the Caravanserai (1972) album, his last record with the classic Santana band.

Like the wind, and in celebration of it, “Song of the Wind” is a long, free-form improvisation. Santana and guitarist Neal Schon create a beautiful piece, trading solo licks and phrases, passing musical ideas back and forth.

If you haven’t heard this wonderful composition… give a click here to see/hear it on YouTube. And add this one to your meeting planning – this would make a good “break” song while you all get coffee. <8-)
